What's new
Version 3.0 (31 May 2026) Koru Has a New Home! We've got some exciting news to share: Koru is moving to a new home, but its heart remains the same. The developers who built Koru—the same hands that have been shaping every feature and fixing every bug behind the scenes all along—have decided to take the reins directly. They've given Koru a dedicated space where they can focus entirely on making it even better for you. What this means for you: Your existing license is still perfectly valid. The core experience you know and rely on isn't changing—Koru will continue to work just as it always has, and your projects, settings, and workflow remain right where you left them. One thing to note: Koru Cloud will be winding down soon, as it's not supported in the new version. If you're currently using it, we recommend making alternative arrangements ahead of time. And from now on, any questions, feedback, or hellos should go to the team at the new place. They'd love to hear from you! What's new in the latest version? - Load animations from USD files, with support for advanced node and skeletal animation - Create and edit your own node and camera animations with a brand-new Animation panel and keyframe timeline - Trigger animations on export when activating snapshots or starting scenes - New JavaScript API for animation, plus a richer overall API for smoother scripting - Lots of bugs squashed It's a solid leap forward, and just the beginning now that the team is fully in the driver's seat. Go visit the new home, grab the latest version, and take it for a spin. Ready to see what's new? Go to the new Koru website See you there!
